TINY HOUSE COMPETITION

Client:  Municipality of Almere - Holland

Location: Almere - Netherland 2006

The main idea behind this project is the connection between the natural elements of existing landscape and the elements that constitute it the building. The designed volume has a square shape with a side of 5 meters and develops on two floors with a terrace on the third floor. The same proportions in plan are maintained in the vertical development of the building, and the materials of wood paneling create a surface that changes with the opening of the windows. The roof of the terrace reproduces the characteristics of a large leaf that shelters the underlying volume and connotes the building. This simple volume can be aggregated in numerous sequences and ways that can create new visions of the built space, relating in a way analogue to the existing landscape.
